Paralympic tandem champions Steve Bate and Adam Duggleby recently received the C A Rhodes Memorial Award for 2016, the first time that the Award has been made to a tandem pair. The occasion again took place at its traditional venue, the Yorkshire Cycling Federation annual luncheon, in recognition Charles Arthur Rhodes founding that organisation in 1932; it was well attended by a large cross section of the Yorkshire cycling community. The Award was made jointly by President of the Trustees John Churchman and the Presenter Melvyn Gibson, who gave his usual entertaining speech whilst also highlighting the significant achievements Steve and Adam.
